This week Andon participated in the three day school which featured both gas and
liquid measurement classes instructed by the best in the
business. The entire event consisted of more than 60 lectures and hands-on
classes with over 70 hours of instruction dealing specifically with natural
gas, refined products, crude oil measurement, and product quality testing.
The Acadiana Flow Measurement Society (AFMS) was started in 1965 by a
group of pipeline and production personnel with help from the University
of Southwestern Louisiana, now known as University of Louisiana at
Lafayette. AFMS was chartered to advance the study of measurement, with
the original focus being gas measurement, but has since expanded to
include liquid and NGL measurement.
